  • Hello! I'm a 30-year-old Mom of two small children residing in Southern NH. I moved here in October of 2007 with my husband, my then 19-month-old son, and two very energetic dogs. When living in MA, I worked in the field of Early Intervention providing play therapy to children who were delayed or disabled. I loved it! Yet, I have to admit that I wouldn't want to be anywhere other than where I am right now. I truly enjoy being a full time Mom. I find it to be extremely rewarding, and who better to give me daily belly laughs than my two children? When I find free time (ha!), I do a bit of freelance writing for http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/65212/amy_fillion.html. I've found this blog to be just the thing for me...when I have only five minutes of spare time, I can still get some writing in!

Picture People

My gosh, am I smiling from ear to ear right now :)  This afternoon Ryan was coloring with his paint dobbers.  He made his very first person!  Wahoo!  First a circle for the face and then two very long straight lines for the legs.  Then he made even longer (smile) straight lines for the arms coming directly out of the circle of a face.  Then two dots for the eyes, another for the nose, and semi-curved line for the mouth.  How cute?   But that’s not it!  On one particular person, he told me he wanted to make hair and then proceeded to make some scribbles on the top of the head.  On a different person he made some dots above the eyes and said he was making eyebrows!  What?  Eyebrows aren’t even things that we talk about much at all :)  Goodness…this mothering thing is something, isn’t it?? :)

    Isn’t that funny? He truly surprised me with that one :) I was expecting more of your typical things…arms, legs, face. Makes me smile.

    Quadmama-Ryan did the same exact thing! He loves his magnadoodle and the person he drew was even more impressive than the ones he had created on paper. I almost took a picture of the magnadoodle. Ha! :)
